Question Products you don't see advertised anymore

What are some products that still exist, but you never see advertisements for them anymore?

Why was Bromo-Seltzer discontinued?
Bromo-Seltzer was first produced in Baltimore, Maryland in 1888. It was sold as a headache cure, and because of its sedative effect it was a popular hangover remedy. It has been discontinued because of its usage of bromide, a class of tranquilizers banned for their toxicity, and acetanilide, which is also poisonous.

Lowenbrau beer with those cheesy commercials: "Here's to good friends, tonight is kind of special...".

I still remember those "correspondence schools" ads that Sally Struthers used to hawk in the late 1980s to early 1990s. I think the commercial used to start off with "Would you like to make more money? Sure, I bet most of us would..."

These were do it yourself trades or skills that you could pay the "school" to do it from home, then mail in your answers and a certified diploma mill would mail you a certificate that no legitimate business would put any value on.

I never met anyone who added income from repairing venetian blinds from the World Global Learning Trade School.

I don't remember the last time I saw a commercial for any brand of laundry detergent.

Ed. ETA: Oddly, just a few hours after I originally posted this comment I saw on TV a commercial for Tide laundry detergent. LOL.

Tide and Gain are still heavily advertised on TV.

I used to see Oxydol laundry detergent advertised a lot. Have not seen a commercial in years for it. It may have been discontinued. The pharmaceutical ads are now what is most advertised. No room for other products. I also do not see as many breakfast cereals advertised as much as they were in the past.

There used to be a TV ad for a laundry detergent featuring a Chinese guy saying something about an "ancient Chinese secret". I guess that would be politically incorrect now.

Edit: It was Calgon.
