Jay Leno's 30 year run with NBC has come to an end, as NBCUniversal announced the cancellation of his CNBC reality show "Jay Leno’s Garage". The series premiered in 2015. Since 1992, Leno has been on at least one of the NBC channels with a television show. It started back in 1992, when he took over hosting duties of 'The Tonight Show' when Johnny Carson retired after 30 years. Leno left the show in 2009, handing the microphone to Conan O'Brien, while Leno did a 10 pm talk show. Within months, Leno was back to hosting The Tonight Show, and finally left in 2014. Months after he left, he started 'Jay Leno's Garage' on NBC.com, which moved to CNBC the following year. The show aired it final season this past fall. |
