2013: Dads.....

I LOVED this show. I saw the pilot episode thinking it was going to be horrible and quickly turned off, and I died laughing for twenty minutes, and the successive episodes were as good.

I do know that the critics hated it, which probably led to less people seeing it. It lasted a season and knew it was going to be cancelled but enjoyed it none the less. Had Martin Mull in it and anything with Mull is good.

2000, beginning of the 21st century, was a very bad year. Survivor and Big Brother both premiered then, their popularity led to numerous reality shows and a lot less scripted network content.

2001- Three Sisters- a sad replacement for gone too soon DAG

2002- The Bachelor

2003- Reno 911- I couldn't stand this show when it led into Corner Gas on WGN. Also Whoopi was terrible, one of Whoopi Goldberg's worst projects. While I watched Two and a Half Men at the time, can't stand it now.

2004- Rodney- ABC had several good sitcoms like Hope and Faith and 8 Simple Rules for Dating my Teenage Daughter in the era between Home Improvement and The Middle. Rodney was not one of them.

2005- The Office (US) and How I Met Your Mother

2006- 30 Rock, The New Adventures of Old Christine

2007- Cavemen, Rules of Engagement

2008- The Secret Life of the American Teenager

2009- RuPaul's Drag Race, The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien, Parks and Recreation

2010- Hawaii Five-0 refake, Conan, Lone Star (the drama starring James Wolk)

2011- 2 Broke Girls, How to be a Gentleman

2012- GCB, Work It, The Neighbors (sci-fi ABC sitcom, not the current Neighborhood)

2013- We Are Men, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, The Michael J. Fox Show

2014- Young and Hungry, NCIS: New Orleans- this generic spin-off did not deserve to last several more seasons than the brilliant Scorpion. Madam Secretary sucked as well but at least did not have NOLA's syndication success.

2015- The Odd Couple refake

2016- Lucifer, MacGyver refake, American Housewife

2017- Emerald City, The Mayor, Star Trek: Discovery

2018- Single Parents, Murphy Brown revival, Magnum P.I. refake

2019- Bless This Mess, Bob Hearts Abishola, Sunnyside

2020- Tiger King, Tommy

2021- American Auto, Home Economics, Call Your Mother

2022- Lopez vs. Lopez, Pivoting

2023- Will Trent
