This pertains to shows hit their stride early on and then quickly fell off? In other words, shows that were a huge deal with the first season only to just rapidly fall off in terms of anyone caring about it. It's the complete opposite of shows that take a season or two find their footing.

The Beverly Hillbillies (best seasons 1-3 out of 9)
Bewitched (Best seasons 1-3 out of 8, 4 & 5 also good)
The Andy Griffith Show (best seasons 1-4 out of 7, 5 also good)
Lost in Space (best season 1 of 3)
Happy Days (best seasons 1-3 of 10+)
