Would you be honest and tell your parents you lost your haircut money or try to cut it yourself? |

Well, according to the results, I would react like Beaver. ( even though I believe I answered two questions differently than how Beaver's actual reactions were ).
Definitely would have admitted to losing my haircut money than trying a DIY haircut. It's not like ward was about to take a strap to him for so doing. |

When Beaver is really young, most of the trouble he gets into is because he's "a scared" to go to W&J, because for instance, he's already lost haircut money, and now he's lost it again.
He's been lectured once--he's afraid of what might happen this time. For instance, he's been locked in Mrs. Rayburn's office, trying to find the spanking machine in her closet. He's brought home by the fire department, and Ward lectures him about it. Then he gets his head stuck in the park fence. What's a boy to do? Ask his brother to yank him out--anything but get Ward! |

Parents/caregivers teach children to lie. Ward was a great dad for his time. Modernly, I am not sure the boys wouldn't have called CPS on him. |

They sure did, particularly Ward. He knows Beaver is prone to get into trouble, yet he basically scares the kid every time. So he's looking for four leaf clovers, puts his head between a wrought iron fence and is stuck. He's so scared of Ward that he doesn't tell Judy he needs help.
He did mellow somewhat as the kids grew up. In the early years he really showed his temper. Late in the third season, the time Richard poured oil on Wally's suit and ruined it, Beaver eventually went to his parents and totally broke down. In that case the kid taught the parents a lesson--it was a well-written episode. Even Eddie showed a rare good side. |

5. What would you do if your Aunt Martha made you go to school in short pants?
I remember really well one day in kindergarten, my mom insisted that I wear a white pullover sweater that, for whatever reason, I thought was too girlish. So in class I wore my black outdoors jacket over it. The teacher asked me if I was sure I didn't want to take off my jacket...? So I tried to ensure no one would see my sweater, as Beaver tried to conceal his short pants outfit. (The sweater very likely was later sent to my younger cousins in Greece, like most of my childhood clothes other than ones I'd worn out badly.) |
