Question Did it actually make little sense for Frasier to hang out at the bar

Considering that said bar was owned by the person who his ex-fiancée left him for.

I have not watched Cheers in ages, but wouldnt Frasier been happy to sort of seeing Diane go away? She was annoying.

Now Lillith was a firecracker of sexual hotness.

Frasier was what I call a smart/stupid character, someone who is intellectually and/or educationally smart but the smarts get in the way of common sense which makes him dumb. None of the other men there had any common sense either so he fit right in.

Diane left Sam as well, though.

It actually did not. I think that worked in their favor.

It's not because he has issues with his ex that he has issues with his friends. Leaving the bar because of a single woman would also mean leaving his friends behind. Well, that's the logical answer other than the technical answer of the producers not wanting to get rid of the character lots of viewers enjoyed.

Frasier was always there, because his character became very popular among the fandom. Kelsey Grammer was originally signed to appear in only a few episodes, but he became popular enough to be a permanent fixture for the show.

I love the character of Lilith, so I'm glad Frasier became a fixture at the bar and we continued seeing him and then also her. There was so much funny stuff the writers were able to do with them. I still laugh at Frasier "running with scissors"

10 TV Characters Who Originally Had Much Smaller Roles

Sometimes, for various reasons, characters who become mainstays in television shows were originally only intended to appear in a few episodes.
