Shows where characters should've been written off for storyline purposes
In effect, the characters' continued presence actually hurts the show because they're still there. And they'll come up with some flimsy stories to keep the characters involved even if they're no longer unnecessary to the main plot. But they none the less, usually stay around because the people in charge like the actor.
