How were Doug Ross and Carol Hathaway able to avoid a major lawsuit
Not to mention criminal charges? To go back a bit, Doug Ross, with the aid of Carol Hathaway, stole equipment from the hospital in order to help a mother euthanize her son. But nothing really happens to them other than Carol's hospital "clinic" getting shut down.
As for Doug, somebody pulls some strings and he's allowed to go on his merry way, relocating to Seattle to practice medicine there. Like I said, they should have never have gotten off that easy in real life, especially since the father of the euthanized child was enraged that his son was killed. |
