"Saturday Night Live" has been on the air for over four decades. Each episode produces a full 67 minutes of entertainment, including sketches, short films, and musical performances (or 90 minutes, if you count commercials). That is a lot of TV. When creating that much content over such a long period, not everything is going to land. Sometimes, entire eras of the show fail to click with the public.
