Is NBC setting a dangerous precedent by expanding "Friends"?
From January 2001:
"What if NBC's next move is a 37-minute show, followed by something lasting 46 minutes, then maybe an hour and five minutes," says Rick Kushman. "Viewers would be stuck either watching NBC or joining shows on other networks in progress." And regarding which show to actually watch, he says: "...Since 'Friends' is everywhere, what's the harm in missing a few weeks compared with staying on top of the one show that people gossip about the next day?" |
