TMC Member Forum Idol Join Date: Jan 09, 2001 Posts: 125,965	Why didn't NBC air The Tortellis after Cheers NBC during the 1986-87 television season, instead aired The Tortellis on Wednesday nights at 9:30 following Gimme A Break!, which was dying at that point. NBC instead used the post-Cheers slot on Thursday nights for Nothing in Common was an even bigger bomb. The other show was The Days and Nights of Molly Dodd.
