Asked why he keeps getting away with being offensive with touchy subjects, David said at Netflix Is a Joke festival: “I don’t know. It’s a very good question. I don’t know why. I don’t like to think about it too much.” David added: “Well, here’s the thing. There were fans of the show, they liked the show. And they have a good sense of humor. The fans of the show don’t care about political correctness."

It is because Larry is Jewish and most of the cast are also Jewish, and Jews can get away with it. David probably has a bit of power in Hollywood and probably is well liked by everyone.
