Jesse L. Martin exits The Flash full-time to lead NBC pilot The Irrational

Martin, one of four remaining original Flash cast members, will no longer be a series regular on The CW drama after eight seasons. But he is expected to guest-star in multiple episodes of The Flash in Season 9. In The Irrational, written by Arika Mittman based on bestselling author Dan Ariely’s novel Predictably Irrational, Martin will play "a world-renowned professor of behavioral psychology with a unique insight into human nature who lends his expertise to an array of high-stakes cases involving governments, corporations and law enforcement. However, he meets his match in a female domestic terror suspect who turns his world upside down." The pilot will be shot after the Upfronts in late May and early June, so it won't be in consideration for next season's fall schedule. |
