In addition to working on network shows like Angel, Firefly, Dollhouse and Wonderfalls, Minear is a veteran of cable shows like American Horror Story, Terriers and Feud. “For the longest time, it was always like, what’s the hit network show?” says Minear, who serves as co-showrunner on 9-1-1 and 9-1-1: Lone Star. "That’s what the studio wants me to do, they want me to come up with a hit network show, and all I wanted to do was weird little cable things. And now I’ve got two hit network shows. But I don’t think anything I’m doing now is any different from what I did 20 years ago.” |
