Why did the producers even try to attempt to incorporate Jeff Garlin into Geoff and Erica's wedding:

True, if you completely keep Murray out, then it would really be a bad look for his character if he wasn't present for his daughter's wedding. But still, the way that he's awkwardly edited in and around is a major distraction and the wrong kind of funny. They basically pulled a "Fake Shemp" and hoped that it wouldn't be that easy to notice.
