Eisenberg, a prolific character actor with numerous TV credits who died Sunday of cancer, had four different roles in the Law & Order universe, including three on SVU. He recurred on more than 20 SVU episodes between 2001 and 2019 as defense attorney Roger Kressler. He also played attornys Jerry Kleinert and Klein Rothberg on SVU. In addition, Eisenberg recurred on seven episodes of Law & Order as attorney James Granick. Eisenberg guest-starred on numerous shows, including The Sopranos, Blue Bloods, 30 Rock, The Good Wife, Bull, Miami Vice and The Blacklist. He's also set to appear on this week's The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel episode in the recurring role as Lou Rabinowitz.

Mariska Hargitay pays tribute to late Law & Order: SVU actor Ned Eisenberg

"My heart is so full of sadness over the loss of our dear, dear Ned Eisenberg," Hargitay wrote in a message posted to Instagram dedicated to Eisenberg, who died of cancer on Sunday at age 65. Eisenberg recurred on SVU as defense attorney Roger Kessler. "What a light and what a love. And such a first-rate actor, which pales next to him as a first-rate human," Hargitay added. "We will remember him always with his bright, mischievous smile and his wide-open heart...We love and miss you, sweet Ned." She captioned her post, "Once an SVU Alum, always always always an SVU Alum. His time may be Dun Dun, but this was his story…"
