American actress and singer Tatyana Marisol Ali was born in North Bellmore, New York to an Indo-Trinidadian father and an Afro-Panamanian mother. At the time The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air ended it's run Tatyana Ali was proven to be one of the youngest celebrities ever and since The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air ended it's run Tatyana decided to focus on other projects and one was recording an album. So when her first single Daydreaming debuted Tatyana Ali was proven to be a great singer with a bright musical future in her. When Kiss The Sky came out in stores it showed that Tatyana Ali was not just an actress but a singer as well. But I think the main reason why Kiss The Sky flopped was The Work Group "A label owned by Columbia Records" was focused on promoting new stars such as Jennifer Lopez and Diana King and the fact that Michael Jackson's record label also had a hand marketing Tatyana Ali caused little promotion of the album but with Will Smith producing it could've helped Kiss The Sky sell more. I remember buying Tatyana Ali's single Daydreaming and marveled at how great the song was and sampling a Steely Dan song made it cool then I found my own copy of Kiss The Sky and was shocked at how well Tatyana's voice was in her other songs and she really deserved to go far in music
