Did Cliff and Clair have every right to be mad at Denise for marrying Martin

On one end, Denise by that point, was 22/23. So she wasn't exactly a teenager anymore. Plus, if Theo randomly got married like that (say to Justine), you would have to suspect that they would've been relatively fine with it in comparison. At least, Denise you could argue, was actually trying to do something with her life.

Then again, Denise married a man right out of the blue without telling her parents first. Denise was already establishing herself as being immature and irresponsible. She was a college dropout with no job, no money, and no plan. And now she randomly married a divorced single dad two weeks after meeting him.

Denise frustrated Clair so much which was why she wanted to "take her and SHAKE HER!" And it didn't help matters when Denise messed up Martin's military housing in another episode. Clair was at her wits end when that happened. We all were like "Ugh this girl"
