Did she have any other types of medications in that bag of hers? It seemed like in the beginning, they introduced her as a psychologist but then she could prescribe meds and had privileges at different hospitals.

Without counting I'd have to guess over 30 times. She was "trigger happy" for sure.

Did Dr. Hoffman actually ever help anyone at Collinwood or in Collinsport as a psychiatrist? She just seemed to give someone (Maggie, Vicky, Mrs. Stoddard, Joe Haskell, etc.) a pill to “help them sleep.”
And, to be quite frank, did anyone Dr. Hoffman sent to Windcliff, her private hospital/behavioral health unit, ever emerge in a healthier and happier frame of mind? Since most DS characters eventually had a “stay” at Windcliff, it’s easier to list the DS characters who did NOT make the “Windcliff shuttle” from Collinsport to Dr. Hoffman’s clinic: Roger Collins, Mrs. Sarah Johnson, Angelique, Professor Stokes, Buzz Hackett, Blue Whale bartender Bob Rooney and Sheriff George Paterson. Personally, I think Julia Hoffman was far more successful as a surgeon, who performed emergency surgery and provided blood transfusions (on Joe Haskell, Maggie Evans, Roxanne Drew, etc.) and also as a so-called “mad scientists,” in trying to cure Barnabas of his vampirism, finishing fellow mad scientist Eric Lang’s Barnabas/Adam life force transferal experiment, the subsequent Eve life force experiment, the attempt to revitalize the comatose 1970 PT Roxanne Drew experiment and the 1840 attempt to resurrect the warlock Judah Zachary experiment using electrified kites to supply the jolt needed to awaken old Judah. Maybe all of the DS characters would have been better off if they had Dr. Jennifer Melfi of North Caldwell, NJ to see to their emotional/mental needs, rather than Dr. Julia Hoffman of the Windcliff Hispital? |

Sadly, Grayson Hall (Dr. Julia Hoffman) lived only to age 62.
She looked very nice in these screen images. |
