"The premise for Teletubbies was simple enough, but it sounds bats*** crazy on paper," says Jake Hall. "The show revolves around four space-age toddlers with televisions in their stomachs, who interact with weird **** that comes into their bizarre little world, Tubbyland. There’s Tinky Winky, a gigantic purple dude with an upside-down triangle on his head and a dainty, red purse that he carries with him at all times. Dipsy is acid-green with a rod-straight antenna protruding from his head, often covered by a zebra-print top hat. Laa-Laa is sunflower-yellow with an adorable, high-pitched voice, whereas Po is the ostensible baby of the group. These hulking, mythical toddlers — who are, on average, around six-and-a-half feet tall — live in a house run by a talking vacuum cleaner, Noo-Noo. They eat Pepto Bismol-pink 'tubby custard,' which squirts out of a machine like extraterrestrial cum. In the center of the sun is the face of a f***ing baby. It’s a psychedelic fever dream of a show, but one that resonated with millions — if not billions — of kids worldwide."

I never understood why Teletubbies became a hit show because I had never heard about them until I saw Teletubbies toys in Target and was curious to know more about them and so I learned that Teletubbies were a hit show from the UK brought to America and another thing I found out was the language that they spoke was difficult to understand and I couldn't figure out how this show was supposed to teach infants and toddlers. I also saw a clip of Teletubbies once and couldn't believe how weird the show looked even the sun which was a baby's face looked weird. But at least Teletubbies got a solid fanbase and even a Burger King deal which they even had Tubby Custard as dessert which tasted wonderful. I think Teletubbies was the beginning of European children's shows to be brought to America and it has simply worked wonders for kids like The Wiggles and Nickelodeon's Lazytown
