Where the writers out of touch with what was then popular in the music world
And what type of music teenagers in the '90s would've likely been listening to? Keep in mind that California Dreams came along around the same time that the Seattle music scene about to explode with grunge. Shouldn't the California Dreams band at the very least, be as a rock band, adult alternative, and, at worst, easy listening? And doesn't it seem kind of odd that someone Matt's age would instantly cite The Beatles as one of his musical influences?
