What's the deal with Lamont's thick mustache? Wwould he look better if he shaved it off?

No!! At that time 70's -80's big thick mustaches were very in style. It was very cool to have a big thick mustache!!

Seeing him in the picture posted above he does look good without it, but like I said mustaches were REALLY popular back than the bigger and thicker the better!!
