Was it ever explicitly stated that the Keatons lived in Columbus, Ohio - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Wasn't there one episode (the one where they run a hotel out of the house) where Alex says "Dayton"? The attempted spin-off centered on Nick was set in Dayton. And there were plenty of references of the Cleveland Indians though. So am I missing something if I wondered if the Keatons really just lived in a generic suburb of some Ohio city?

I don't remember hearing the name of the city they lived in. I just assumed it wasn't Dayton since they tended to speak of Dayton being a city close by, or so it seemed.

If Nick really did get a spin-off TV show, I guarantee that it bombed. The guy had no talent lol.
