Default George Takei carries on his feud w/ William Shatner, calling him an unfit guinea pig

https://pagesix.com/2021/10/14/star-...s-spaceflight/

“He’s a guinea pig, 90 years old and it’s important to find out what happens,” Takei told Page Six of his former Star Trek co-star's hours after Shatner returned to Earth from his Blue Origin spaceflight on Wednesday. “So 90 years old is going to show a great deal more on the wear and tear on the human body, so he’ll be a good specimen to study. Although he’s not the fittest specimen of 90 years old, so he’ll be a specimen that’s unfit!”

I know George has his reasons for feuding with Shatner, but c'mon George! You're better than this. I would have hoped by now that you two could have buried the hatchet and make nice. Neither of you is getting any younger.

It was bad enough Shatner and Nimoy were not on speaking terms when Nimoy passed -- and they had been great friends through most of it.

I agree. It is definitely way past time for George to let bygones be bygones, especially considering his age. He might regret being so critical after William passes one day...

At some point soon, these two should just sit down, have a beer (or a coffee) and bury the hatchet. Life is short and who knows how much longer either of them has?

Yes, I know Mr. Shatner's not always been the easiest or fairest co-worker to have worked with but since it's been decades since they last worked together and Mr. Shatner has somewhat let go whatever beefs he may have previously had with Mr. Takei, I think the time has come for Mr. Takei to just say that he hopes Mr. Shatner stays healthy as long as possible and finds his own peace.

Sometimes working towards indifference is the best thing one can do rather than letting these things keep eating oneself from the inside out.

Agree with all above. Shatner was a jerk on ST, to the entire cast, and for all three seasons, but George Takei needs to let it go. His comment, here, was classless. And I like George.
