Since the regular prime-time TV season ends in May (used to be June), a lot of scripted shows just ended and started in real time with the viewer.

I doubt there were many Independence Day-themed shows... except maybe back in the 1950s, when TV seasons often had 39 episodes covering most of a year. Once networks began airing reruns over the summer, there would have been no use for an Independence Day episode.

The Happy Days Hollywood Episodes were on and around the 4th of July. Aka Jump The Shark 3 parter.
The Seinfeld Serenity Now episode was 4th of July themed. |
