Was HIMYM was never a good show to begin with - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Outside of the blatant misogyny and dated gender jokes, did were any of the acting or premises on the show really good? Have you ever seen any message of value? And did any character development seem to be forgotten in between what's supposed to be big plot points?

i don't know. I saw an episode or 2 and thought it was el-stinko and didn't continue

I didn't watch much of it, but found the Robin Sparkles episodes amusing. Some episodes felt like they were just copying Friends. And I think most people didn't like the ending.

It was very much a friends remake with no Phoebe. I agree, Robin Sparkles was funny
