"In a career of nearly 40 years, Mr. Freeman’s antic sense of humor made brands stand out — first at the advertising agency Dancer Fitzgerald Sample and then, starting in 1987, at his own small agency, Cliff Freeman & Partners," Richard Sandomir writes in Freeman's New York Times obituary. In 1984, Wendy's enlisted Freeman help its differentiate its burgers. The result was the iconic "Where's the Beef" ads. Freeman was also responsible for Little Caesars' toga-clad Roman gnome who declares, “Pizza! Pizza!” and “Cheeser! Cheeser!” |

Wendy's Where's The Beef commercials were some of the most iconic commercials ever in the history of TV and not only did they turn Wendy's into the biggest fast food chain but made a superstar out of Clara Peller and it's all because of Cliff Freeman that Wendy's had such an iconic slogan. And I didn't even know that Cliff created the Pizza Pizza slogan for Little Caesars. These days it is hard to find commercials with catchy slogans today because I think these commercials are now out of style and if they had clever admen like Cliff Freeman today the commercials would be a hit
