Lee Pace Looks Back on "Pushing Daisies"
Lee Pace Revisits "Pushing Daisies"
Because of "Wonderfalls", Lee Pace would reunite with Bryan Fuller for perhaps his most famous role: Ned, a pie-maker with the strange ability to bring people back from the dead with a single touch in the ABC show "Pushing Daisies". The show aired from 2007-09, and even now Pace says he and the cast are always chatting with Fuller about getting the gang back together for something. "Fingers crossed," Pace remarks. But he won't say anymore about what a reunion would look like out of fear it might foil any plans. "There was such a magic to it at the time," he remembers of working on the show on the Warner Bros. lot, on a stage right by "The Big Bang Theory." "I think it had to do with everything that [executive producer and director] Barry Sonnenfeld brought to the aesthetic of the show, obviously Bryan's stories, and that basic concept. There's a kind of alchemy about that group of actors. We had such a great time working together." https://ew.com/tv/lee-pace-role-call...es-the-hobbit/ |

Lee Pace looks back at Pushing Daisies: "I can’t believe it’s been 15 years"
Pace tells Vulture he felt a real connection to Ned on Bryan Fuller's 2007-2009 ABC fantasy series. "I guess I just related to his feeling like an outsider," he says, adding: "I felt like when I’ve looked back on scenes, I always think I’m being very, um, big. But compared to some of the other things that went on in that show, I guess he was simple in his way, Ned. He’s kind of passive, along for the ride." |
