Ruby Rose: I left Batwoman because I was allergic to the latex costume

Last year, Rose cited a back injury she suffered while filming The CW superhero show as the reason she stepped down after one season. But in a new interview with Australia’s The Kyle and Jackie O Show, Rose says she left the show because she was allergic to the Batwoman costume. “I did find out that I was allergic to latex ... unfortunately, my mask is latex,” Rose said, according to the New York Daily News. “I was getting worse and worse, because as you get more contact with it, I guess you get more reactions. I took off the (mask) at the end, and my face was just hives. My throat was all messed up.”
