Gabriel played the controlling Dr. Seneca Beaulac for the first 10 years of the 1975-1989 ABC soap opera. He also played The Professor in the original Gilligan's Island pilot and recurred as WJM-TV sportscaster Andy Rivers on The Mary Tyler Moore Show. “It is with an unspeakably heavy heart that I share the news of my father’s passing,” wrote his daughter, Lost actress Andrea Gabriel. “John Gabriel was my hero, my role model, and my champion, but above all, my daddy. … I will love you forever.” |
