As the title suggests, are there any shows that had major changes after a season or so that you actually like, even if it is against the norm and you actually enjoyed those early seasons.

Perfect Strangers. The Chicago Chronicle was a much better workplace setting than the camera shop.

Newhart: Much preferred Michael and Stephanie over their predecessors.

IMHO, Mama's Family, Cheers, and Newhart all were reworked successfully.

I can name many more that weren't.
