Default Bill Cosby denied parole after refusing to participate in a treatment program

https://people.com/crime/bill-cosby-...ogram-refusal/

The disgraced comedy icon's request for parole was turned down in part his refusal to participate or complete a treatment program for sex offenders and violence prevention. Cosby is currently serving a three- to 10-year sentence for sexual assault. The latest the 83-year-old Cosby can be released in September 2028.

I read that. It is hard for me to believe that it has been three years already! It just seemed to have only been less than two years.

It would be fascinating how Bill Cosby is getting along in prison, being that he is very unique.

1. He is a widely famous celebrity who is very wealthy. Being that he is so wealthy, he seems that he would be a target for younger inmates, as in offering protection for a price, or people wanting to “protect” him to curry favor and money.

2. He is over 80 years old, highly educated individual who has never been to jail much less prison until this experience. It is difficult for a young, strong person who has done jail but no prison on adjusting to prison and who to watch out for.

3. He is a “sex offender” who legend has it, are the way bottom of the prison hierarchy. Sex offenders are usually beaten and killed in prison, and have the worst time. Being that Cosby is rich and famous might shield him from that.

Cosby says being involved with that program means that he is guilty of the crime and he claims to have been falsely accused. Too many women have come forward to say otherwise. It’s interesting that he was convicted of sexually assaulting a lesbian, who was obviously a lesbian.

People in Hollywood knew since the 1960’s that Cosby was a creep who did these things, but Cosby was only one of scores of deviants. What brought Cosby down was that around 2004, Cosby came out publicly in a speech called “The Pound Cake speech” (its on Wikipedia) where Cosby was highly critical of young blacks and blacks people in general saying (if I am not misquoted) that these people “will kill each other over a slice of pound cake.”

I think a lot of Hollywood insiders and powerful people were very angry at this and I think Cosby cultivated a lot of enemies on the inside for years. The MeToo Movement started and men in power were being called to task about their actions in the past that brought down people like Harvey Weinstein who has it much much worse than Cosby. What got this started was a club comic named Hannibal Burris did a set which people were videoing on their phone and Burris was talking about Cosby and ended “and he’s a rapist!” The video went “viral” and all of Cosby’s victims saw it and came forward saying that Cosby raped them But in my opinion the Poundcake Speech was his downfall, and the raping came out afterwards, but by hanging Cosby for rape means a lot lot more secrets came out, it’s like a “Domino Effect”.

But my first thought, I wonder how Cosby is doing in the joint. I don’t understand why he did the way he did when he could have found lots of willing sex partners who would do anything he wanted and Cosby was well rich enough. Makes no sense.

Cosby should have gotten Life because of all the women involved, but the “Statute of Limitations” ran out on most of them.

As it is, it will probably be a life sentence since Cosby is like 84 years old and has seven years left without parole and he isn’t getting the parole unless he does the sex offender program which he refuses to do. Even if the State lets him out tomorrow, he is blind and sick. I don’t understand why his wife puts and put up with what he has done and not divorced him, but it could be out of some misplaced loyalty or just she thinks her life is better as it is.

I will say as a man who has been married for 20 years, if you have an affair with someone else where married, you do not love your spouse anymore and should just admit that and get a divorce. His wife should have divorced his ass years ago because he doesn’t love her and has sex with anything that walks by, willing or not. Again, why she stays with that criminal is a mystery.

Default Free Bill!!

There is no logical reason for Bill to be denied parole. He is not a threat to society...

I used to watch “Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids” in the 1970’s as a child and the show taught life lessons. The show was very moral and it should be shown to kids today except for the fact of what Bill Cosby turned out to be. I guess the show could be shown to children now except for the fact that the children will come to an age to see that the host of the show was a rapist.

The Cosby Show in the 1980’s showed a very successful and wealthy black family. No doubt the show was uplifting and taught that anyone with hard work can be successful in America no matter their color or background (which groups like BLM and those who expose “critical race theory” nonsense espouse). I think Cosby and the show was there to show that black people can and are as successful as a anyone else. It could have been a show on now as something to show that anyone can make it with hard work, but again, the lead Cosby, is in prison, as a rapist. Just a lot of good destroyed.

I disagree. He fondled several women, drugged a few and the ladies who were fondled wanted a trial. If you were one the woman, would you want him out of jail?. Look, one need to think before in engaging in bad behavior. Till 5 or six ago he was scott free. He should pay the price.

Bill Cosby is currently in jail for one woman (Andrea Constand) not several. That is something else outside of the case that Bill Cosby was put in jail for. You can't just add things that have no relevance to his current jail sentence, court case and haven't been proven as factual in a court of Law.

Bill Cosby was sentenced to three to ten years in prison for drugging and sexually assaulting a woman (Andrea Constand) at his home over 17 years ago.

Bill Cosby was found guilty of three counts of aggravated indecent assault at retrial on April 26, 2018 and on September 25, 2018, he was sentenced to three to ten years in state prison and fined $25,000 plus the cost of the prosecution, $43,611.

Bill Cosby still proclaims his innocence in the case.

And who is Bill Cosby currently a threat to since you disagree?
