The Office actor Mark York, who played Billy Merchant, dies at 55

York, who has been paraplegic since 1988, appeared in four episodes of The Office as Billy Merchant, the property manager of the Scranton Business Park, up until Dwight (Rainn Wilson) buys it from him at the end of the sixth season. He made his first appearance in Season 2's Disability Awareness Meeting scene. York's disability didn't stop him from having “an outgoing, uplifting, positive attitude and personality.” York also appeared on 8 Simple Rules and CSI: NY. |
