2021 Kentucky Derby
Yesterday was a very exciting day and historic day in history as the 2021 Kentucky Derby was shown and the winning Kentucky Derby horse is named Medina Spirit and he showed true grit and skill to become a Derby champion. Medina Spirit is also trained by a very famous man in horse racing history Bob Baffert who I read about in my Thoroughbred horse book series. The horse that I thought was cool and his name made me laugh was Soup And Sandwich and when saw him I giggled like crazy and my mom thought Soup And Sandwich was a very funny name. Probably Soup And Sandwich's owner worked at a sandwich shop and named him after his favorite things to serve. Anyway I hope Medina Spirit's foals have the same winning power he does

Kentucky Derby was the second sports event last week that topped the Oscars
About 14.4 million watched Saturday's Kentucky Derby, up 53% from the 2020 Kentucky Derby that was delayed until last September due to the coronavirus. The Kentucky Derby joins the NFL Draft in topping the Oscars, which attracted 10.4 million. |
