That would be so sad, if true, but quite a few celebrities lost their fortunes in that scheme. Hate to think of Rue being one of the victims, as she worked so hard her whole life for everything she had...

This is awful to hear! I sincerely hope she didn't lose everything, or even close to it. I recall reading she had put her Manhattan apartment up for sale shortly before her death, somewhere in the $2.5M range. I'm pretty sure it ended up selling for less after her death.
