The cringe HBO comedy starring Lisa Kudrow as sitcom actress Valerie Cherish, which she co-created with Michael Patrick King, debuted in 2005 and came back for a second season in 2014. So will The Comeback return for a third season in 2023? “There’s always the talk and the wish and the pitch and the desire. Everybody wants to do it. It’s just a matter of getting certain stars to line up,” executive producer and original cast member Dan Bucatinsky tells the Los Angeles Times. “As it took nine years for the stars to line up again, I don’t know how long it will take them to line up (a third time), but the desire is there,” he adds. “I can’t say it won’t happen ... but I can’t say it will happen.”
