Queen Latifah says co-creator Richard Lindheim was involved with her reboot

“He got to see the finished project before he transitioned and he felt very positive about it,” Latifah says of Lindheim, who died of heart failure on Jan. 18. Executive producer Debra Martin Chase adds: “He gave us his blessing, he gave us his baby. We accept the responsibility to continue to make a great show in his honor.” ALSO: The Equalizer producers would be open for a Denzel Washington crossover. The Equalizer reboot dedicates its premiere to co-creator Richard Lindheim Lindheim, who died at age 81 of heart failure of Jan. 18, served as an executive producer on the Queen Latifah-led reboot. "He was watching dailies of The Equalizer til the last day; he was so excited to see the show go into production and was ready to tune in and watch the premiere,” Lindheim’s son-in-law Ezra Dweck told Deadline at the time of his death. |
