Hulu's "Shrill" to End after 3 Seasons
"Shrill" to End with Season 3 on Hulu
by Denise Petski Jan. 27, 2021 Hulu’s "Shrill" is coming to an end. The upcoming third season of the comedy series starring Aidy Bryant will be its last. Season 3 is slated to premiere in spring 2021, but a specific date has not been set. Production on Season 3 wrapped a month ago. “Shrill has been one of the most creatively satisfying experiences of my life, a true labor of love for me and everyone who worked so hard on it,” said Bryant. “We are incredibly proud of this upcoming third and final season and are so grateful to the audience who connected with this story. I am deeply honored to have worked so closely with the writers, cast and crew to make Shrill while continuing my work at SNL, it is a time I will never forget. I have endless love for our crew in Portland and I am excited to get back to NY and rejoin my other work family at SNL in the meantime.” https://deadline.com/2021/01/shrill-...lu-1234681863/ |

"Shrill" Final Season Premiere
by Vlada Gelman February 10, 2021 "Shrill‘s" swan song will unspool this spring, when the Hulu comedy’s third and final season premieres on Friday, May 7 with all eight episodes, our sister site Variety reports. Star/executive producer Aidy Bryant tells the site that in the upcoming installments, “Annie ends up in a place where hopefully a lot of people end up if they have a reckoning with their own self-hatred and those kinds of things, where it’s like, ‘OK, I have a better handle on this when it started. Does it still rear its ugly head and punch me in the face sometimes? Absolutely, but now I know how to cope with it'.” “Part of what this season is is just realizing that there is no end for people who are looking to find their own self-confidence. It is a constant, everyday thing. There isn’t a final, ‘She wins’ or ‘she loses,'” Bryant continues. https://tvline.com/2021/02/10/shrill...u-aidy-bryant/ |
