Default Sex Education Characters & Their Friends Counterparts

https://screenrant.com/sex-education...a-butterfield/

Quote:
10
Jackson Marchetti - Joey Tribbiani

The obvious character trait that Jackson Marchetti and Joey Tribbiani share is the fact that they're both ladies' men. Each of them manages to attract plenty of female attention and they're certainly not shy in showcasing their abilities to flirt and charm people.

However, while that is what people get to see on the surface level, underneath, both of these men are actually incredibly kind and sensitive. They care deeply about other people and that is something that makes each character very popular.

9
Lily Iglehart - Phoebe Buffay

Lily Iglehart's Friends counterpart is an obvious one, which is Phoebe Buffay. They're two incredibly eccentric characters who live to the beat of their own drum and don't care what others thank about them, which is what makes them such empowering characters.

Each of them will come out with random comments at times and they're often living within their own heads. However, both Lily and Phoebe are arguably the funniest and friendliest characters of their respective shows, which proves just how great they are.

8
Ola Nyman - Monica Geller

Ola Nyman is one of the most caring characters in Sex Education, often putting the thoughts and feelings of others above herself. She's there for everyone and even though some people don't necessarily treat her well, Ola still tries her best, such as how she acts with Otis and Maeve.

Monica is very much similar in that regard, as she is very kind to everybody. She always goes above and beyond for her friends, especially Rachel. Plus, both of these characters are very funny and can be a little bossy at times as well.

7
Jean Milburn - Jack Geller

Jean Milburn is a true scene-stealer when she appears in Sex Education, and she is easily one of the funniest characters on the show. The same can be said for Jack Geller, who is one of the greatest supporting characters in Friends.

Both of them are well-known for making others feel very uncomfortable, but not in a bad way. They simply say whatever they think, not really assessing the situation and that is what leads to some great comedy. Plus, both of them are very caring parents, which is another similarity.

6
Eric Effiong - Chandler Bing

Eric Effiong is a hilarious character within Sex Education and is someone who brings tons of energy and positivity to the show. They're often very funny, but they also prove themselves to be incredibly loyal and trustworthy friends who are happy to do anything for those around them.

This is what gives Eric and Chandler tons of heart and helps to make them two of the most popular characters. They always try to help others, and even though people sometimes overlook them, they remain loyal throughout.

5
Anwar - Jill Green

Jill Green might not be a regular character on Friends, but she certainly makes her mark with her hilarious personality. Much like Anwar, Jill is very critical of others and she is happy to judge people without really knowing them, as often as possible.

Anwar likes to look as good as possible with his fashion choices, and that is certainly the same situation with Jill as they both need designer gear to look the part. Anwar happily criticizes everybody in the school, taking verbal shots at all his fellow students, and that is what makes the two characters very similar.

4
Connor - Gunther

Both Connor and Gunther are two characters that mean well, but at times, can be a little creepy, seemingly hanging around when they're not wanted. This is certainly more so the case with Connor, as the group often goes out of their way to hang out where Gunther works.

Both of them are involved in their shows but from the outside. They are certainly awkward within their personalities, but each character pops up with some hilarious one-liners at times, making them very memorable characters.

3
Jakob Nyman - Richard Burke

Jakob Nyman has proven to be a major hit on Sex Education, with his relationship with Jean Milburn being one of the greatest in the show. That was also the case for Richard Burke, and his romance with Monica Geller, which was also a firm fan favorite.

Both of these men are very kind and caring to the women in their lives, and while they each struggle with different things, they've got a lot of experience to call back upon. They're also very funny characters, often having a remark to add which adds an element of charm to each of them.

2
Aimee Gibbs - Rachel Greene

Aimee Gibbs has often been one of the most heartwarming characters in Sex Education. She's someone who is very funny and overwhelmingly positive, trying her best to bring up those around her and while she may not be the most intelligent, she puts her efforts into looking good and being a good friend.

That should sound familiar, because it is very similar to how Rachel Greene is, especially during the earlier seasons of Friends. Rachel works hard for her friends and she is someone wh certainly takes pride in her appearance. Much like Aimee's character, not everything is perfect in her life, but they work hard to overcome that, with each of them also coming from wealthy families.

1
Otis Milburn - Ross Geller

The two lead male roles in each series actually have a lot of similarities to each other. When Ross Geller was young, he wasn't exactly a hit with the ladies, and that is something that Otis struggles with throughout. However, both of them are very intelligent, and they each have huge hearts.

There's one woman for both of them and they're willing to do whatever it takes to make that relationship work, yet neither character really seizes the day with full force. Both Otis and Ross often blurt out the wrong things and make big mistakes as well, which can turn people against them, but they're both very funny and caring characters, just trying to do their best.
