Lasorda, the winner of two World Series championships as Dodgers manager who died Thursday night at age 93, guest-starred on a number of shows as himself, including CHiPs, Silver Spoons, Simon & Simon, Hart to Hart, Police Squad! and Fantasy Island. In the final season premiere of CHiPs, Lasorda is pulled over by Erik Estrada's Punch, and says: “I’m Tommy Lasorda! Haven’t you seen my commercials?”

Wrestling fans might remember him being the guest ring announcer for the Hogan/Bundy steel cage title match during the L.A. portion of WrestleMania 2.

Tommy Lasorda also was the spokesman for Slim-Fast diet shakes and he was great in the commercials
