The Wayne Brady-hosted CBS daytime game show, which is dependent on having an audience, found a unique way to have an audience when it returns to production today. The show's walls will feature 18 virtual audience members, plus 12 in-person contestants in the audience in their own pods. Each episode will also feature a contestant playing from home. All 12 in-person contestants will be allowed to play after the usual coronavirus protocols. "The audience and energy is so important for Let’s Make A Deal, but obviously you can’t do a show with 175 people in the audience right now,” said executive producer John Quinn. “We had to adapt to keep the same essence.” Quinn adds: “We now say if you’re cast on this show, you’ll play. You might get zonked or you might win a car but they’re all going to play at some point over the hour. It’s a very difficult time and if you’re going to come to the studio and go through all of these precautions, you’re going to have an opportunity to win." Let's Make A Deal is now having a virtual audience and changing it's image? How weird that they now have a virtual audience and I think that it will cause the ratings to be low. I think the show will lose it's luster due to the new changes and be cancelled soon enough. Makes me glad I perfer to watch reruns of The All-New Let's Make A Deal on Buzzr Saturday mornings instead of this version of LMAD
