When Clarissa Explains It All debuted in the 90's Nickelodeon thought that this sitcom would become a one hit wonder and not be as successful as Hey Dude which was Nickelodeon's first sitcom. But when you get the general picture it sure paved the way for Melissa Joan Hart who went on to star in Sabrina The Teenage Witch and Melissa And Joey. But Clarissa Explains It All was the start of a new style of sitcoms for Nickelodeon and it's no wonder that same success and formula was used for Kenan And Kel and My Brother And Me and inspired the teen channel The-N now Teen Nick. But Nickelodeon should do more sitcoms like Clarissa Explains It All today because that's what made Nick stand out in the 90's
