Default Trisha McGee Reports Reconciliations on Twitter

I think it needs to be said that since her initial claims about some of her fellow cast members not being entirely fair to her, Trisha McGee has since reported on Twitter that Danielle Fishel and Will Friedel have reconciled with her and evidently the three have become more friendly. They DID seem to get along well on the Facebook 'And Then There Was Shawn' Zoom podcast in which several of the cast participated in viewing that episode and discussing their reactions/ behind the scenes trivia over it!

Nothing was reported about whether Ben Savage had reconciled with her ( but, for whatever reasons, he did NOT participate in that above podcast).

Of course, it should be noted that Trisha McGee did say that Rider Strong was NOT among those who she believed were unfair to her.

To me, she should just be glad that she got any attention at all period because its better than being ignored completely. No, I am not an African American like she is, but I am most definitely no stranger to getting "special attention" due to the color of my skin.

God bless you and her always!!!

I think that the fact that two of the three folks that had been named going on to resolve any issues with Miss McGee is good news- and we could use all the good news we can get these days.

Danielle Fishel apologized to former Boy Meets World co-star Trina McGee for being 'rude, cold and distant' after the actress shared racism she faced

Quote:
After tweeting about the Black Lives Matter movement, a fan questioned if Danielle had taken the time to apologize to Trina following her claims of being mistreated. Danielle replied, saying, "I owed [Trina] an apology for being rude, cold, & distant when she guest starred on GMW (her tweet regarding warm hellos being met with cold blank stares was about me)."

She went on to say, "Trina and I spoke over a month ago and she gracefully accepted my apology."

In a new interview with Yahoo Entertainment, Trina said Danielle told her that she was distant toward her because she was "going through a lot at the time, on a personal level."

She also revealed that she has not heard from Ben Savage, who played Cory Matthews, as of yet. “I do not talk to Ben Savage at all,” she shared.

In her initial tweets, Trina stated at times "the tension [and] disrespect" from three of her costars on BMW was "extremely stressful." Many assumed she was referring to Danielle, Will, and Ben.

After tweeting about her experience, Trina said she received a DM from Rider Strong, who played Shawn Hunter, jokingly stating, "I see you give no F—s now. Do you want to talk?"

As far as her conversation with Will, Trina said it was "healing," although she didn't consider his apology "completely sincere."

The 50-year-old told the outlet she hopes speaking out about her experience creates a "teachable moment" instead of promoting "cancel culture."

She also said she hopes to see more BIPOC representation in front of and behind the camera.

^^^ Forgive me if I have overlooked anything, but what I would like to know is how much was said sooner if anything ever was that is. I most definitely do not mean to paint Trisha has a perpetrator, but to me, if she didn't speak up back in those days, how much of the blame should really be on everyone else's plate? I understand completely if she was afraid of being fired, but if the situation was that important enough to her, something about it should've been said while it was going on instead of years later.

God bless you and her and her former TV family always!!!

Holly

P.S. Another question that I have is how far did the "abuse" actually go? If it was more than just words, then something most definitely should've been done about whatever was happening because being guilty of more than just words is when the illegal line is crossed.

Boy Meets World experiencing a racial reckoning after former star Trina McGee revealed racist treatment

In January, McGee, who played Angela Moore in the last two seasons of the ABC TGIF comedy, tweeted about a racially insensitive comment on set, remembering Will Friedle calling her "Aunt Jemima" while she was putting on makeup backstage. She also recalled the Boy Meets World stars greeting her with "blank cold stares." When she reunited with the cast for the Disney Channel spinoff Girl Meets World, McGee recalled Rider Strong trying to explain Friedle's comment as playful joking and prodding to get a rise out of her. “When I walked away from that experience, I got pissed again because I was like, What the hell?,” she says. “Years later, this is the explanation for it?” McGee now says after voicing her pain, she was able to have a healing conversation with Friedle in which he apologized. McGee also received an apology from Danielle Fishel, who last month was called out for her behavior after expressing her support for Black Lives Matter. "I owed @realtrinamcgee an apology for being rude, cold, & distant when she guest starred on GMW (her tweet regarding warm hellos being met with cold blank stares was about me)," Fishel tweeted. "Trina and I spoke over a month ago and she gracefully accepted my apology" However, McGee has yet to hear from Savage. “I do not talk to Ben Savage at all,” she says.

^^^ I am glad that amends were made, but the big question that I have for them is, why was there such a problem with her in the first place? I wonder if the adult cast members were any different with her. For the record, I have never been racist. Gordon and Susan from Sesame Street are two of the first ever celebrities that I've gotten to meet in my life.

God bless you and them and the Boys Meets World cast members always!!!

Holly

P.S. I actually met Gordon twice. I lived just south of Cincinnati Ohio back in them days and both of his appearances were at the Florence KY mall in the late 80s.
