Not by a longshot. The humorless and unsympathetic Susan McMann (played by Holland Taylor) was the hardcore, tough-as-nails dean of California University on Saved By The Bell: The College Years, appearing at the tail end of its short run (during its final five episodes).

Though I've always enjoyed most of Holland Taylor's TV and film work and have nothing but the utmost respect for her, I detested her portrayal of Dean McMann on The College Years. I'd always groan, sigh, cringe, roll my eyes, and shake my head whenever she was on screen chastising Zack and his dormmates (as well as everybody else at "Cal U")...Susan McMann was--and is--one of the few people on the planet who could, and often did, put Zack in his place and give him a spoonful of his own medicine, especially when Zack was concocting yet another of his schemes. In layman's terms, Dean McMann's intimidating and stone-cold demeanor made Belding look like a whiny p***y by comparison.

As for Zack's former nemesis (and occasional ally), Richard Belding was still minding the store as the bumbling, incompetent principal of Bayside while f**king things up, as usual...a new batch of freshmen and -women arrived at Bayside in the autumn of '93 (SBTB: The New Class, of course, debuted that same September) to torment and belittle Belding.

Ever since it's debut, Saved By The Bell has not left popular culture. But in the video I discuss the somewhat forgotten spin-off of the original series. It only last one season, but it's worth a look.
