Adriana Smith, the mother of a Season 8 contestant Kamryn Smith, alleges Miller made a series of racist comments to her daughter, who is black. Another Dance Moms mother, Camille Bridges, tells E! she also believes her daughter was treated unfairly because she was black. "(Abby) tried to spin Camryn as being the poor one and there on scholarship. I shut that down immediately," Bridges said. "She loves appropriating our culture and never appreciating it. She did not give black choreographers on the show acknowledgment of their work. She continuously put Camryn in afros." E! also reports that former Dance Moms producer Kori Kingg confirmed Smith's allegations in a Facebook post. "Some would say I should be quiet about this. But THIS THIS!?! THIS broke me as I was working on show and pregnant with my own black daughter," Kingg wrote on Facebook. "In hind sight, I too should have left. I should have stood with my sister, Adriana Janae Smith and supported gorgeous baby Kam and left too."

Lifetime Severs Ties with Abby Lee Miller, Cancels "Virtual Dance-Off" Series

Abby Lee Miller’s decade at Lifetime has come to an end following accusations of racism.

The network is not going forward with the planned "Virtual Dance-Off" competition reality series announced in April. Miller also won’t be returning to "Dance Moms" if it is renewed for a ninth season. (The show previously has featured other dance instructors while Miller was in prison.)

The action was triggered by an Instagram message by Adriana Smith, mother of "Dance Moms" Season 8 dancer Kamryn, posted in response to Miller’s Blackout Tuesday IG post in support of Black Lives Matter.
