Did "The New Class" come out too soon

I just thought about this in light of the new incarnation of Saved by the Bell coming soon. My point is that The New Class debuted in the fall of 1993 around the same time that The College Years debuted in prime time. Did it get a bit hard to grow "nostalgic" about SBTB with this continuation at Bayside? It was more or less the same show (Mr. Belding was still the principal at Bayside) but with a less charismatic and stable cast.

I get why NBC didn't want to let go of the SBTB franchise so soon, given that it was at the time, a cash cow for them. But I also wonder if having both The College Years and The New Class on at virtually the same time, watered down the product so to speak. I'm not trying to say that had The New Class not been on when it was on, The College Years likely would've lasted longer.

Partly yes, because after the original class sitcom ended its run, there were two relationships that became weaker along the way, caused by too many unresolved both multi-stereotypings and multi-discriminations: 1.) Dustin vs. original castmates and 2.) Screech vs. original characters.

It was a good idea to create a new class in emergency, not panicky, in order to cut down on too many both stereotypings and multi-discriminations. Although, both Bayside and Valley high school area settings are not the right choices to cut down on too many both stereotypings and multi-discriminations. \

The new class setting has to be in a public high school setting are, which is neither a Bayside nor a Valley type, in order to cut down on too many both stereotypings and multi-discriminations and also make it more charismatic and stable on its cast.

It was correct to include both Dustin and Screech in the new class, but that principal in both non-stereotype and non-discriminative public high school cannot be Belding or that unknown Valley High School principal at all.
