This is quite long but the gist of it is that Trina on Twitter, has recently insinuated that the cast (in particular Ben Savage, Danielle Fishel, and Will Fridele) mistreated her on set:

I have mixed feelings about a situation like this one. I get why she is upset, but in my opinion, perhaps what she was given is better than being ignored completely.

P.S. It took one of my most favorite singers 20 years to score his second top ten song, may God rest the soul of my late beautiful precious Billy Joe Royal, and so to me, every last bit of attention should appreciated even if it doesn't come to a person in the most flattering way.

There's an hypothesis that I heard that Trina was really hired so that the producers could fill a diversity quota. The feeling was that with Trina, Boy Meets World could avoid the flack that shows like Friends were getting at the time regarding its lack of minorities/POC.

This depending on your point of view, could explain why Shawn and Angela ended up the way that they did. That's arguably because, the producers and writers weren't really for her. Even Michael Jacobs, one of the main producers and casters, down played Shawn and Angela as a couple.
