Goldberg, who died Wednesday from injuries resulting from a fall at age 85, and his producing partner Aaron Spelling were behind numerous hits, including Charlie’s Angels, Hart to Hart, The Rookies, Starsky & Hutch, Fantasy Island, Family and the original S.W.A.T. He also served as ABC's programming boss, overseeing shows like The Mod Squad, That Girl and Marcus Welby, M.D. His producing credits stretched all the way to CBS' currently airing Blue Bloods. Samuel L. Jackson, David Geffen, Judy Sheindlin and Scott Rudin were among those paying tribute to Goldberg. "Leonard was a giant whose talent, grace, wisdom and strength of character are the template for a life well lived," said Sheindlin. "He fought so hard to stay on this side of heaven. I will miss him and good counsel.”
