Padalecki was taken into custody early this morning following an altercation at an Austin nightclub, reports TMZ, which adds that the Supernatural star is facing two counts of assault and one count of public intoxication. "The guy was getting physical on the sidewalk, and cops had to get involved," reports TMZ, which has video demonstrating Padalecki's behavior. "Eyewitnesses on the scene tell us that at first, Jared allegedly struck a bartender in the face from inside the establishment ... and that a friend tried calming him down outside, but got put into a headlock after a standoff, which you can see here in the footage. We're also told he got into it with the general manager of the place, and allegedly struck him in the face as well. Eventually, Jared was restrained by police ... but not before pulling out what we're told was a wad of cash, and allegedly flashing it to the officers." Neither Austin police nor Padalecki's reps have offered official comment. Padalecki's arrest comes amid the final season of Supernatural and comes weeks after him signing on to star in a Walker, Texas Ranger reboot.

Jared Padalecki's arrest hasn't impacted Supernatural's filming schedule

The CW and Warner Bros. TV haven't commented on Padalecki's arrest for alleged assault and public intoxication early Sunday morning. But TVLine reports that the arrest isn't affecting work on Supernatural's final season, at least for now.

"Supernatural" star Jared Padalecki has spoken out since being arrested last week for assault in Austin. The arrest has not affected his work on the 15th and final season of his long-running CW series as Deadline has learned that he will return to work this week.

“I want to sincerely thank my family and friends for all of your love and support,” Padalecki tweeted on Sunday. “So sad to miss the #SPNFamily at #dccon but I hope to see y’all soon.”
