Do multi-camera sitcoms feel dated now and products of a different time
We seemingly live in an age where more networks and streaming services want more single camera comedy shows and multi-camera shows are probably going to be gone in the next five years. CBS still makes these kinds of shows all the time while ABC and NBC progressed and somewhat phased out those shows. Even Fox is wanting to do more shows like that.
Then again, the popularity of the single cam and multi cam has been somewhat cyclical. The single cam sitcom was the dominant type in the 1950s and '60s and the the multi cams took over for a while. |
